I know what your nagging little whispers say in the back of your mind when the world goes quiet:
I’m sooo stressed! I am too busy! I’m soo tired! I am too fat!
I just don’t feel quite well, I don’t know why.
I need to change something. But where do I start?
Can I start? Should I?
I mean, things are fine!
And fine is fine. Right???
This self talk is sucking out your life force!
But through my studies, personal experience and Lifestyle coaching, I have learned how to turn “fine” into fantastic.
I’ve been a certified Neurotherapist since 2010 and a registered and certified Lifestyle & Vitality coach (Gecombineerd Leefstijl Interventie-GLI ), running my practice on-line and face-to-face. I have worked in South Africa and in The Netherlands in the English, Dutch and Italian languages. I have worked with many people over this time, from high school students to adults and from all walks of life, helping them to improve their lives and feel more excited, confident and empowered. Empowered to take charge of their mind and physical health.
I’m a Lifestyle & Vitality coach, and yet beyond my qualifications, I’ve learned how to help other people make better choices in their lives through the lessons I’ve learned by living my own. From long stressful days, sitting at the desk of my 9-5 job in a corporate company that exhausted me, to moving to a country I didn’t speak the language of, living as an expat, to experiencing a number of deep burnouts of family members – I know that daily life can be very hard so you just adapt to what is juuust fine.
But I also know that we can change our mindset and overcome the juuust fine state!
My dysfunctional family and seeing my dad’s frail life depend on a dialysis machine was a huge wake-up call for me. It hit me so hard. So hard that it gets us to choose who we are and how we live. As for me? I choose to live simply, healthy and brave, gravitating towards everything that nudges me towards personal growth and physical health, and most importantly, the Best Version of Myself – my personal LIFESTYLE (happy-healthy me).
When I am not coaching, I find myself walking my talk, volunteering, helping friends with their issues during very long walks in the forest. Feeding myself daily with the latest discoveries on self-development and health. I love exercising and keeping myself fit. I am fond of healthy food – thanks to my Mediterranean background. I am a warm hearted Italian/South-African. I’m honest and trustworthy. I don’t like small talk yet I can be as playful as a child and laugh a lot with friends. I am very scared of public speaking and yet I have hosted quite a few Lifestyle & Vitality workshops to notice the kick I get from them.
I too am scared and insecure of a few things and yet I have taught myself, and continue teaching myself, that the only way through is to make a choice and act in spite of my fears. I am hungry, motivated and committed to improve. I just move forward despite how I feel. I challenge myself to do the things the voice in my head tells me I can’t. This is why my coaching is effective. I’m very familiar with the hurdles that my clients come up against—because I’ve been there myself—and so I teach what I know from a place of deep personal experience and understanding.
I believe that I can do most things I put my mind to. And I believe that my clients can do most things they put their mind to, too. This thinking process has changed my life in so many ways!
The bottom line is: You Can change to experience the happier and healthier version of you! It does not matter in which field of your life. Change your daily thoughts and habits and you will be able to change your life mentally and physically. Your new thoughts change your vision on life and as a consequence changes the choices for a healthy body. It’s totally within your reach. When it happens it can feel just about as likely as winning the lottery. All you need is the right amount of help to get you moving.
