We are living interesting times in history! A time of many challenges, many expectations and if we look at our lifestyle and vitality it has become far too confusing. What does this mean for us? We are feeling a lot more stressed, we are not able to rest, not able to make the right choices and fall into dysfunctional habits. These habits cause stress. As stress persists it causes a domino effect on our our mental and physical state. Stress turns Chronic and then into Chronic-disease. Chronic-sicknesses are in fact increasing in these current times. Let’s just dig into some numbers to understand the scope of the situation due to unhealthy lifestyle choices.
The Netherlands – chronic diseases
– 90 % of illness and disease is stress-related. Stress can interfere with your physical functioning and bodily processes. High blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and heart disease have been linked to stress factors.
– 70% of all deaths are due to chronic diseases *
– Around 100,000 people, or 0.9 % of the population, are classed as having the most severe of the three levels of obesity. Overall 14.2% of people are obese. 35.8% of them are moderately obese.15.4% seriously obese**
– 40% of cancer occurrences are preventable by healthier lifestyles***
– 10.400 people are killed by tobacco each year.****

The good news is that Lifestyle coaching has been developed to help people restore the natural balance in their body and mind.
Lifestyle coaching takes a full 360-degree approach to mental and physical health and how it can better work to reduce the risk of chronic diseases while improving Vitality.
My mission with Lifestyle & Vitality is to help 10 000 people transform their health, hack unhealthy habits and guide people to create new healthy ones. It is an integral, inclusive approach. It’s a wonderful journey to discover who you are, embracing your physical, mental and emotional health, discovering your deepest needs and qualities.
